An anti aging diet does not mean women and men have to starve themselves to look beautiful. The food people consume not only affects their health, but how they feel and how they look, as well. When Summer comes around people want to show a little skin, do a little swimming, and not worry too much about all the calories they are consuming. However, with just a little planning, men and women can have all they want and still look their best without having to change too much of their lifestyles.
If you want healthy, wrinkle-free skin, start by changing the foods you eat. Here are easy-to-create meals that work perfectly in an aging diet.
1. Berry Fruit Salad
For breakfast, make a berry-filled fruit salad. Strawberries and blueberries are both great wrinkle fighters. Blueberries contain antioxidants that bring moisture back to skin and protect skin from damaging free radicals. Strawberries are full of vitamin C, which helps to ward off wrinkles. For even more wrinkle-fighting power, add some pomegranate seeds to your fruit salad. Like blueberries, pomegranates contain antioxidants that moisturize your skin and keep it looking fresh.
2. Salmon, Avocado, and Spinach Salad
Salmon, avocado, and spinach are all amazing at reducing your wrinkles. Salmon contains omega-3, a fatty acid that keeps your skin soft and supple. Avocado contains sterolin which reduces age spots, and it has vitamin E and omega-9 fatty acids, both of which will add moisture to your skin. Spinach has vitamin E and C, and it’s full of the antioxidant glutathione. You can also use cherry tomatoes in this salad—tomatoes contain lycopene that reduces cell damage in the skin. For even more wrinkle-fighting power, add some sunflower seeds to your salad. Sunflower seeds will prevent skin damage, and they contain vitamin E. Finish by sprinkling your salad with another anti-aging super food: olive oil.
3. Tofu Stir Fry with Broccoli, Onions, Asparagus, and Kale
Soy beans contain amino acids and many wrinkle-fighting isoflavones. For a tasty recipe that incorporates soy, try stir-frying tofu with broccoli, asparagus, onions, and kale. All four of these vegetables have anti-aging properties. Broccoli has beta-carotene, which protects skin from free radical. Kale contains antioxidants that reduce inflammation. Asparagus is another good wrinkle-fighter—studies have shown that eating asparagus leads to fewer wrinkles. And finally, onions contain quercetin, vitamin C, and sulphur, all of which will make your skin look soft and beautiful. This stir fry is full of ingredients that will help your skin.
4. Sugar-free Chocolate Cake
For a delicious, anti-aging dessert, try sugar-free chocolate cake. Instead of sugar, substitute honey, maple syrup, or pureed fruit. Your sugar-free cake will be healthy, and it will taste delicious.
5. Fresh Fruits for Smoothies and More
One of the best things people can do for their aging diet is to include plenty of fresh fruits. This means not eating fruits that come out of a can or a preserve jar, but something that has just been picked from a tree or bush. Looking for fruits that are organic is worth going the extra mile as you can at least sleep a little better knowing they use less pesticides and hormones growing their fruit.
Some of the best fruits people can do to boost their energy and metabolism are bananas, apples, strawberries, grapes, and kiwi. Men and women can make a delicious smoothie to help cool them off during the hot days or just eat the fruit raw as it was intended. Of course, some people go a little further and make things like cobblers and cakes, but that should be done in moderation if the end goal is to have a slimmer waist line and better looking skin. A little treat though is worth it every now and again.
6. Look for Vegetables Alongside the Protein (Meat)
When grilling out this Summer try putting on a few ears of corn or zucchini. Even peppers go great with fish, steak, or chicken. Remember, an anti aging diet does not mean starvation. Eating is still required. Portion control is the key. A person’s skin and muscles will benefit from a well balanced meal of protein, grains, and vegetables.
Fresh peas, eggplant, mushrooms, and tomatoes are a great way to boost energy. This energy will come in handy when people do their 30 minute workout routine each day. (You didn’t think an aging diet would leave out exercise did you?)
These six recipes are all filled with healthy ingredients that will make your skin look great. Plus, they’re all tasty. While you’re digesting your delicious anti-wrinkle meal, massage on some anti-aging skin cream. This cream is just what you need to complete your anti-aging routine.
Bonus Tips
Work It Out
Once people have figured out what they like to eat and the right portion to have at every meal they can focus on making the most out of that new energy. Looking years younger usually involves getting rid of those love handles and turkey neck. A simple round of cardio exercises can go a long way. Slowly moving up to lifting weights, aerobics, or yoga will also help slim down the pounds so people can succeed at the aging diet and look whatever age they feel.
Use Anti-Aging Cream
Finally, always use anti-aging cream on your wrinkles. These creams are designed to effectively reduce wrinkles and prevent new wrinkles from forming. Your skin will always look younger when you’re using a good anti-aging cream.
